Customer Review: This is a Platinum!!!
This is a great calculator, especially for anyone taking caluculus courses or anything from there on. This has helped me through highschool all the way to college, great product and very reliable. HOWEVER, beware, this is NOT the regular TI-89, this is the Platinum version. I just ordered it thinking I would get the old version because I like the colors and design better (easier to read buttons), and the titanium version arrived yesterday. I dont think it is fair at all, considering I paid extra to get the old version, and from what I’ve seen, I threw away money by thinking that the product description was true… You might as well look for the titanium and buy that, save the extra money…FIVE stars for the calculator, ONE star to amazon for generating all this confusion….

Texas Instruments TI1795SV Solar Calculator The classic mini-desktop calculator for home, office, or retail with big keys and a giant SuperView display.
Customer Review: Tough Little Calculator! (Style has changed - see photo)
I’m SO happy to see they still make this model calculator! I’ve had mine for about ten years now and use it daily and it finally died today. I’ve used it so much I wore the paint off of the point key, and pulled it out tonight to check something and the plus key (finally) stopped working. This is an awesome and very tough little calculator, the display is nice and big and very easy to read in even low light (and I have poor vision), it’s lightweight and I can easily throw it in the drawer without worrying about it getting damaged, but it’s not so light you can’t pound away on it without it slipping around (and it has two little rubber feet to keep it in place). And it’s completely solar, no batteries to worry with. I just ordered another one tonight, and I’m so glad I don’t have to get used to a different one (I key very fast and it keeps up with me), here’s hoping my new one lasts another ten years
Update - I just got this in the mail today and FYI the style number is the same but the design has changed (see photo comparisons above, the Amazon stock photo is incorrect). The new one is bigger and rounder, about a half inch wider and longer. It’s also thicker and the key pad is ‘ergonomically’ rounded, which makes it a longer reach for short fingers. The buttons are a little bigger and there is an extra row of three at the top (rate, tax+, tax-) that I don’t need. So it will take a little getting used to, I wish it was still the smaller size, but the display is still big and easy to read and the keys are quick.

Texas Instruments TI-82 Graphing Calculator Customer Review: Graphics Calculator
I purchased this calculator for statistics, and didn’t purchase it directly form Amazon, but from a seller on Amazon in the used category. Unfortunately for me, the seller wasn’t honest in the item description. I didn’t mind that it came with some scratches or engraved with some words on it from the previous owner, but I didn’t appreciate purchasing a broken calculator. I can’t give a review for the itme since I received it broken (and arrived a week later than it should have), but I will rate my review on the seller, which is why it is makred low.

Customer Review: Excellent calculator, especially for the price
This is an excellent calculator, particularly for engineering functions that require polar-rectangular conversions, where it solidly trounces even the TI-89 Titanium for convenience. Its two-line display is not as nice as the TI’s larger screen, of course, but works really well, allowing you to enter complex calculations and edit them as needed, even remembering your previous calculations.

Casio SL-200TE Solar DualLeaf Pocket Calculator Easy to read display / Independent memory / Functional Command buttons And the hard case protects it from the damage it can sustain from being carried around in your pocket
Customer Review: Not Very Useful
Looking at this product’s picture it appears that the top hinged part can be used in an upright position. This is mis-leading. When you open it and flip the top up, it is designed to lay back in a flat position. It seems designed to use on a flat surface more than a hand-held type of calculator. It is about 4-3/4″ wide so I can only hold it on its side, not fully grasp it. It is, however, a very attractive calculator with an elegant silver case. Very attractive for a woman’s use, or handsome for a man’s use. The keys are very soft and responsive. The readout is very large and easy to read. Overall it’s a beautiful product, but not terribly functional as a hand-held calculator.

Calculated Industries 8525 ProjectCalc Plus Calculator The simple truth is that some of us were built were math, and some of us weren’t. If calculating how many gallons of paint you’ll need makes you want to hire the job out, this little calculator will change your mind. All you have to do is measure and tell it what you want to know. It’s programmed to figure out quantity needed for all kinds of materials: bricks and blocks, wallboard, gravel, lumber, paint, roof shingles, studs, tile and wallpaper. You tell it specifically what grout width you want, or how far apart your fence posts will be, and it work everything out. It even works in reverse, figuring out mind-sputtering things like, how much wall will 7 gallons of this paint cover? It handles fractions to the 1/64th inch without faltering, and It’s slim, light, and less than 3-by-5-inches, so it fits neatly in your pocket. It’s powered by long-life lithium batteries, and the auto-shutoff feature gives you even more battery life. And of course, it works like a regular calculator, too, so you can add up how much you saved by not hiring out that paint job.–Kris Jensen-Van Heste
Customer Review: Works great when it works, doesn’t last, no warranty
I received it as a gift and it was great for laying out the footings for my house. A few months later when I went to use it again, there was a big black blotch on the display making it unusable. I emailed Calculated Industries and they told me the only way that could happen was if I abused it or it froze. Neither was the case. They didn’t even offer the courtesy of letting me send it in so they could look at it. It still looks brand new except for the blotch on the display. By comparison I have an HP that has literally traveled around the world with me for 14 years and still works great. I wish HP made project calculators!
I would not buy anything made by Calculated Industries. Their products don’t last and the warranty is absolutely worthless.
